A late afternoon stroll in Alexandria

It turns out that Henry had never (?) been to Old Town Alexandria, so we decided to take a late afternoon stroll through the neighborhood.  And while it’s very cute and touristic, after coffee, cupcakes, and a few photos we were ready to pack it up and retreat to Trader Joe’s on our way back to the big city.  Of course we arrived in style:

Cupcakes first.  Not that the sugar rush ever affects our children … :

And then we were ready to explore:

And some type of historical building/museum which like all things local closes at 5 pm … note all photos were taken outside.  And yes, this is the light at 6 pm-ish.  Someday Milo will drop his afternoon nap and we’ll possibly see a few more of these museums …

love all of these, at usual! Teach me what camera setting to use to get the lovely out-of-focus background for the shot with T. on the bench?!
