Bald Head Island, Part 2

Subtitled: there’s more to the island than beaches and golf carts. Exhibit #1: “Old Baldy” (the lighthouse):

The lighthouse is not all that tall so we all climbed it. The last part involves a ladder to the enclosed top. Milo quite enjoyed going up … but when he realized he had to turn around go down the ladder he was a bit uncertain. He turned to us and said: “I otay. I stay right here.” And he might very well still happily be up Old Baldy were it not for a little parental persuasion.

There was also lemonade and dancing on the former lighthouse foundations:

Gak and other messy activities on the porch …

And anyone able to explain this?

Plus of course a delightful pool:

And of course leaping off benches while watching an impending storm:

All together, a very relaxing and enjoyable week at the beach. Thanks Ian (and parents) and Shira!
